HOW DOES

IT WORK?

Step 1 - Book in a discovery call with me so we can decide if we are a good fit and what service your home might need. We will discuss your timelines, the investment, how I work and I am happy to answer any of your questions.

Step 3 - We then arrange a suitable time for our online consultation to discuss your design brief, needs and have a virtual tour of the space. During this time  we can discuss in more details your budget and how this could be used best within the space.

Step 2 - If you decide this is the service for you. You will receive an online questionnaire to complete, and instructions for sending me photos and measurements of the room. This is also a good time for you to share any inspiration images you have so I can begin to understand your personal style.

I will also send an agreement for the work, my T&Cs and invoice for the first part of my fee.

Step 4 - Relax and leave the designing to me. I fully research all items suggested, saving you time. I design holistically incorporating your brief whilst adding my professional eye, saving you money on making potential costly mistakes.

Step 5 - You’ll receive a clear, detailed and inspiring design pack to your inbox, ready for you to implement and complete your space. We'll then have a design presentation meeting to discuss any questions.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • How many spaces does this include? What about an open plan space?

    • This service is priced per room. A room or space is defined in regards to its primary use. An open plan space, depending on size, is often made up of a few areas of use e.g. a living and dining area. If you needed this service for both areas, this would be priced up as 2 rooms.

  • Can you work with existing furniture or other items I wish to keep?

    • Definitely. We may need to discuss the suitability of existing pieces in regard to what you want to achieve but I will always try to incorporate remaining items into your designs. Keeping core pieces is sometimes necessary for both sentimental value and sustainability. We can discuss ideas around up-cycling if an item needs to stay but may not fit in with the rest of the room.

  • How long does this process take?

    • This will depend on both your timeframe and my availability. Often it will be1-2 weeks from on-boarding to arranging our consultation. After that I can give you an accurate idea of expected design delivery dates.

  • What rooms are suitable for this service?

    • If your room does not require any major work to be done and no bespoke installations or joinery then this service is suitable for: living room, hallways, cloakrooms, guest bedrooms, kids bedrooms, nursery, master bedroom, home office, family rooms, dining rooms, snugs, entertainment rooms.

  • How would we communicate throughout working together?

    • The discovery call is a 20 minute phone call to see if this is the right service for you and if we are the right fit. After which further details will be sent via email. The consultation and design presentation are both held on Zoom. Throughout the service I would be available by email or phone call. I look to respond within 24-48 hours between Monday-Friday. Time off where I would be not contactable I will inform you ahead of time.

  • What is the fee for this service and how would I pay?

    • This service starts at £600 but we will discuss my fee proposal on a discovery call. I request a 50% payment upfront before starting and the remaining 50% on delivery of the design pack. My T&Cs also detail your rights in relation to cancellation of any services.

  • Are there any additional costs involved?

    • If you require at home meetings then I would recommend looking at my Bespoke Design, Furnish & Style service as this includes visiting your home. Additional revisions to designs would incur extra costs (priced on request). Additional Zoom meetings required would be priced at £35 per hour/£17 per half hour.

  • What does this service not include?

    • This service does not include at home visits, purchasing of any of the items on your behalf or any work required by tradespeople. The budget allocated will applied to furniture, lighting, decor and accessories.

  • What happens after delivery of the final design pack?

    • Once the final design is complete, you will receive a copy by email. The final fee balance is due at this point. We will then arrange a design presentation meeting so I can take you through the design ideas and answer any questions. I will then be available for 2 weeks following for you to ask any extra questions via email.

  • What are design revisions?

    • Design revisions are change that can be made. A design revision refers to sourcing an additional furniture or accessory suggestion, an additional layout suggestion or update to a mood board/colour scheme. A new design scheme or change in brief would not be classed as a revision. 3 revisions are included in this service, if additional revisions or time are required this would be costed at £35 an hour.

  • How much such I budget for a room?

    • This will vary depending on the room, size, the look you want to achieve and where you do, or don't, want to buy your furniture from. I include a minimum of 1 option per furniture item but up to 3 options where possible. All sourced items will be detailed in your digital shopping list, with pricing and clickable links. This list will help you see where your budget can be spent and you make the final decision as to the pieces you choose. I always look to provide in stock options but know that this can change quickly.
